I have four Arlo Pro 6th gen and am still on free monitoring. I need to choose a plan and want to understand the difference between the Premium Plan with 24/7 recording and without. (I know the cost difference.) If you get it without 24/7 recording, then when and how much does it record? If you get it with 24/7, do you have to have a plan for each camera (and cameras hard wired)?
What I want is for my four battery operated cameras to function as they are with everything recorded and saved so we can go back and find events on certain dates.

Continuous Video Recording (CVR) is its own subscription, and you would need that for each camera. And the cameras do need to be hard-wired.

That's what you have now, so you should already have some idea on that. The cameras record when they detect motion (or detect sound if you use audio detection). You can record manually, and you can set up a routine to make a recording at a scheduled time.
