Cannot connect to the router .the center light is not on.ive tried unplugging it, resetting it

Is this a new installation?
Have you tried a different ethernet cable (or a different port on the router)?
What base do you have???

Also, does the LED ever turn on when first powering the base? If not, perhaps the base is faulty. Swap at the store.
