Can you use arlo pro camera without base station

Looking to buy can you use the camera without the base station and can you wilreless contact from camera or base to a windows computer

No. The wireless cameras require the base for its dedicated WiFi. All Arlo cameras also require a cloud connection. The Q and Baby cameras use your home WiFi but that's as close as you​get.
