Can I use a one terabyte hard drive to continually store what my three cameras might be recording, the reason I would like to do this is that I am often away from home for up to three weeks and I am often unable to use my phone app to see what is happening.

Yes, although to see the video requires that you eject the drive and view any videos on a computer. It's not a NAS.

Hi I think that you mean that I would have to plug the back up disc into a computer thanks but what does NAS mean and does the back up disc plud directly into the USB on the base?

NAS = Network Attached Storage which is a drive accessible via the network. The drive on a Pro base has to be connected to a computer to be seen.

Yes, any USB drive has to plugged into the USB ports and set up in the base settings.
