Can A Guest Access The Siren?

I just set up and installed the 3-camera Arlo Pro.  I set up my husband with administrative access.  Can he turn on the siren from his phone, and how?

Good question.... really not sure if can access the siren , think he can

 

In the IOS and Android, if he can, it's a drop down tab in the mid-top of device screen

 

Listed priv if granted rights:

Friends who are granted access rights can do the following:

  • Play and pause video footage
  • Record video footage
  • Mute the speaker
  • Enter full-screen view
  • View live footage
  • Zoom and drag video footage
  • Control brightness
  • Access and change modes
  • View motion detection statuses
  • Manually record
  • Take snapshots
  • Favorite, share, download, and delete video footage
  • Use a camera's microphone

Friends without access rights can do the following:

  • Play and view library content
  • View live footage
  • Zoom and drag video footage
  • Control brightness
  • Enter full-screen view

There is no drop down tab on his iPhone like there is on mine.

Siren capabilities are only available with the VMB4000. You have a previous Model. I have attached the direct link with further information. Base Station With The Siren Capability

I just looked at the bottom of my base station and it is VMB4000.  My iPhone front page arlo app does show the pull-down drawer to activate the siren, but my husband's iphone does not.  What is the answer?

Can you check the access rights. Within the Grant Access settings, make sure the  "Allow Access Rights" for the shared account is toggled on. You can also uninstall the app and reinstall and repeat the steps. There might be an older App Firmware running.
