Camera working in manual but not recording motion independently

Yesterday set up camera outside and it was recording. Today I tried to adjust schedules and sensitivity.  Unable to get the camera back to picking up motion even though I put device back to "armed" and unclicked the "schedule mode" I was able to go outside and create a manual recording. I reset the net gear base. My connection isn't perfect. Missing the highest bar but manual recording is good. What am I missing?

When in Armed mode, go back to the devices page. Is the "running man" symbol for each camera black in its outline? Or is it grey?

The running man has been both grey and black.  It appears my network connection is getting interrupted and that is affecting the operation.  I didn't have full bars in the first location.  Camera did record a few times later in the day but would not reset when I tried it in the afternoon.  Guess I've set up the camera just a bit too far away so I'm going to relocate tomorrow and hope things are better.
