I have one camera that is randomly recording 5 second videos (even when turned off) but not alerting me to any motion. It used 30% of battery overnight recording nothing.

attempt to reset the camera by pulling then replace the battery

As a second suggestion, use REMOVE DEVICE and bring it back as new with a sync
