I'm not seeing my model number from the list, which is VMS4430-100NAS. Anyways, I was wondering, what is the most effective way to conserve battery power? Does it work best to turn the camera off completely or just disarm the motion detection? Thank you.

Funny that that hasn't been made more clear in the docs...
If you put the cameras in the DISARMED mode , they use almost null power. ( the same as turning them off in settings )
But, IMO, the turning off in settings is more of a privacy issue if "shared" as only the primary owner can turn the cam back on.
( like a bedroom for child you want to keep offline from shared users )
BUT, if you turn off the base unit, the cameras will use a LOT of power trying to reconnect to the base so don't do it.
