Just wondering how long a battery should last before having to buy and replace a battery?
I have had my system since January and one camera will not hold a charge and is now telling me it time to change your battery, not charge but change. And I have a second camera that has same issue.

I'd charge anyways. Keep close tabs on life to see if it's a typo in the message or real. The batteries should last years - I'd surmise 5 or so with normal usage.

If you have only had the system for 4 months, I'd be contacting netgear support.  There is no way these batteries should be failing that quickly.  i have had my system since November, it is working/charging fine.  i was recently able to locate the external charging dock and so I'm now using it to push the batteries to thier max charge (since the camera limits the full charge to protect the battery).  I'm curious to see how much time I get now, but so far, I've been having very good luck.  Are you in a particularly harsh climate? I'm in Texas, I'm curious to see how the texas summers will impact these batteries but so far so good.
