Battery life draining that is 3 feet away. Tried changing recording time and to "best battery life".

Hi all, got a weird issue with our arlo setup, our setup is 2 cameras connected to our base station. Base station is connected to the internet via network cable which comes from a network splitter and that is hooked up to a POE adapter.

Here's the issue, camera 1 is roughly 20ft from the base station and the battery lasts. Camera 2 is literally 3ft if that (other side of wall where base station is located) & drains within a week. We thought it was the battery so we bought a new one, unfortunately after fully charging the battery, it dies just as quick. Puzzled thinking it could be something in the settings, I went through and changed recording time to 10s and set it for 'best battery life'. But unfortunately it still drains just as quick.

Having seeing that temperature can affect battery life, I thought it might be that but temperature wise it's never below 2c here during winter & summer is never above 30c most of the time.

Could it be the camera itself?

Did you try swapping camera 1 and camera 2?  That would let you know if the issue is linked to the camera or the location.

Also, it might be worth moving the camera that is very close somewhat farther away (6 feet or so).
