I recharged the battery as usual and my Camara would not connect . I pulled the battery out and it seems it caught fire at some point

Are you sure you're using the original battery that came with the camera? There are lots of fakes being sold on eBay and such - because Arlo no longer make batteries for Pro/Pro 2 cameras - but misleadingly being marketed as 'original'. I had unwittingly bought one myself but Brooke was then kind enough to check its serial number to confirm it's a fake. I now use it for testing only and I don't leave it unattended when charging. You can find some old new stock Pro/Pro 2 batteries in original packaging but there are very few of them and cost a pretty penny.
