Hi,
While in the US last week I picked up an Arlo system and brought it back to Ireland. The power supply is obviously different here (two prong vs three) so hooked in a converter and all seemed to be fine up until last night. I noticed on the app that the Arlo base station was being flagged as being offline - upon checking it this morning, no power was getting to the base station. I've swapped out the converter for a new one and the same issue persists.
What can I do to remedy this issue? If it means purchasing a different power supply then I am willing to do that but it seems strange that everything worked perfectly fine and then suddenly last night shut itself down.
Cheers,
Chris

Do you have a way of testing the converter? Is it just a passive adapter, or is it transforming to the US voltage?

It’s the transformer that shipped with the Arlo package.
I'm a bit confused. Normally an Arlo will ship with an AC/DC power adapter. Generally they all will run from 100-240 volts and 50/60 hertz (though the labeling might be narrower for regulatory reasons). The US ones will come with a 2-prong type A plug; versions for the UK or EU would come with other plugs.
If you received a US version you could have connected it to your power using something like this:
This wouldn't change the power (it isn't a transformer), it just let's you plug the Arlo adapter into your mains.
- Is that you used?
- Or did you use an actual transformer that would change your power to 110 volts, and connect the Arlo power adapter to that?
If you are saying that the power adapter from Arlo failed (or the base station itself), then you could either exchange the system with the seller, or contact Arlo support. https://www.arlo.com/en-us/support/contact.aspx
Exchanging with the seller might be faster.

Sorry, my terminology was a bit off in the last message.
Here's a photo of exactly the combination that I was using.

Thx.
It could be that power adapter (on the right) isn't fitting in the plug adapter (on the left) - or that the plug adapter isn't securely in the mains socket. If everything is fitting securely, then it's either the power adapter (right) or the base station itself. Hopefully the power adapter ...
You appear to have a US power adapter. Where did you purchase it? There is a UK power adapter available for it.
You can contact support, as noted above. If you bought in Europe, you could also exchange it for a EU/UK model.
