Base Station Storage?

Received the EOL for my Pro cameras and to say I'm less than thrilled is putting it mildly. How do I know if my standard issue Arlo Base Station is capable of local storage? It has a couple of USB ports on the back, but I'm guessing it's not as simple as sticking a USB stick in one of them and calling it a day come April.

Also, does anyone know if the two EOL offers (new cameras and a discounted subscription) can be combined? I'm guessing no but it never hurts to ask.

Any help is appreciated!

What model base do you have?  There should be a label on it that starts with VMB.

It's a VMB4000.

Yes...

the 4000 base does support using the USB ports for storage backup.

( only the first base , the 3000 , does not )

Prob best to use a 32 or 64 gb speed stick over a powered HD ( due to some HDs not working )

That's good to know! Is it as simple as just plugging the speed stick in? And what changes can I expect? Would I still get the notifications? Any info you could provide would be greatly appreciated!
