I was testing my Arlo pro security and any motion detected the base station makes a loud ding instead of a loud Siren why?

How do i set the base station to alarm with a siren instead of Ding?

I somehow set the base station to alarm (fire truck) sound when motion was detected how did i do that?

Please help...

It would seem to be a faulty siren. However, I'm not clear as to what you're saying about the "fire truck" alarm - do you mean you set something or are you just describing what the siren should be?

Never hear the base use a "ding".... always a warble like a smoke detector and fairly loud (unless in the new fw )

Thank you for the quick reply.

After sometime troubleshooting this what i have discovered.

Before when setting the mode to armed with siren settings.

Any motion detected the siren woul go off.

Then recently when i was testing the same armed mode with siren setting.

Any motion i would only hear a Ding noise instead of a siren.

I research on arlo websites and google to set the siren again but found none.

Closest to a resolution was the topic " How to create a mode with siren"

At the end of the instructions it said along lines of for the new mode to take affect that mode must be selected.

So after creating some custom modes with siren setting.

Finally the siren alarm worked after using a custom mode i created.

Did arlo mention this changes on the websites?

I do not know how i manage to set a ambulance type srien when motion is detected.

I was trying different alarm settings from loud - very loud - extremely loud.

Also the length of the siren from  1min - 3min- 5 mins.

Is there a manual for all this type of changes??

t33ddyjam,

For more information on the Siren settings, take a look here: How do I create a rule that includes a siren trigger?
