I have had arlo pro/pro2 cameras for years and was part of legacy program. Arlo placed me in a free trial a couple weeks ago unsolicited. Tonight arlo removed my 7 day free cloud storage and says I need a subscription upon expiration of that trial.

My trial did expire and all access to my video feed had disappeared. I was able to chat with someone who kept insisting that I need to subscribe to a plan. Then told me was a technical problem. Such a scam. Contacted arlo who said because it's an eol product they cannot do anything. So they placed me in an unsolicited trial that automatically updated to my app. Upon expiration, removed my 7 day free cloud storage and won't help because it is an eol product. Said I am not eligible for technical assistance. Beware to all the other legacy account holders that got automatically switched to a free trial. My app now says trial expired and I now need a subscription. I cannot view any videos.

This seems to be the way for arlo to enforce subscription plans on the legacy customers.

This has been previously reported here on the forum multiple times with the same outcome.

If you remove one legacy camera from your account and add it back, will the camera’s cloud storage return?

Arlo has a convenient app bug that prevents you adding the camera back again so you should be cautious how many you try doing.

If that's the way forward for this company, the way forward for us customers is to address this. Report these practices to your local trading standards office.

Wait until the trial actually expires.  There's no way to tell if they removed anything until that happens.

My feed and cloud reappeared and I am able to access this afternoon.

I’m on a free trial now.  I hope my promised legacy 7 day storage doesn’t disappear!  This is the only reason I purchased these Arlo cameras!  We paid hundreds of $$$ on this system and have them hard wired too!  I’ll never buy Arlo again if this feature goes away!  This doesn’t seem legal to take away this free feature since that is what these cameras are supposed to do!

It is still available, can you please try to remove the cameras from the rules in Arm Away or Arm Home mode and add them back again.
