Eathernet port on home base is broken. I took it to a computer repair store and they said it could not be repaired. I bought a cable which converts usb to eathernet and plugged it in, but i am not getting an internet connection.

will this idea even work or is my arlo now a throw away? The home base was turned off for several days and i just plugged it in with the adapter.
is there even a possibility this will work and if, what should i do to get it working. Thanks very much.

Well, it could be repaired but likely by someone who likes to fiddle with electronics repair. You can ask around and check for groups who repair their own equipment (ham radio operators, computer groups, etc.). Of course, finding an Ethernet connector that fits (or can be made to fit) could be a bit of a challenge.

No, it will not work.  The hub doesn't have the necessary drivers.

All you can do is get a replacement hub.

Thanks for your help. I can make an informed decision now as to my next step. Seems the hubs no good but i can recycle my cameras.
