Maybe interference? power outage? something to take them offline..
... take one of the camera that is easy to get to open and close the battery door ( pull pack/replace) it may auto resync...
if not attempt a normal resync...
If NG, then remove the device in settings and bring back as new
repeat as needed

Thanks. I actually powered off the base staion for a couple of miniutes and reconnected. All are online now. My concern is this a common problem? I have had the cameras for less than a week. Whta would have happenend if this happend at night or when we were away?

what, is a very hard thing to fiq out...
And Yes, it has happend before to a couple of others that required a power reboot of the base. ( you can check the update page to see if new SW as this happens more at that time ).
I haven't seen this issue myself, but I do havve a very stable power system and cable feed all on a ups, so it's possible something happen along those lines just to glitch it a bit.
I did recommend to remote vacation home users to use a wemo ( wifi operated ac outlet ) device to reboot the base remotely now as well as a ups... but for most its not needed.
