My VMB4000 base station can't connect to my Netgear N300 router.  All 3 lights on the router are green. The power light and the camera light are both green on the Arlo base station.  The middle light is yellow for the internet connection on the base station.  As a result, I cannot set up my camera.  How does the router know the password for the base station?

Thanks for your response.  Upon further investigation, my new Netgear N300 router was not set up as an "access point" from the factory.  This suprised me, since this is the basic function of a router.  Once I changed the router to be an "access point" the problem was resolved.  All 3 lights on the Arlo pro base station are now green.

The base simply connects to the router so the router's DHCP server can assign an IP address. Since you have an amber LED for the Internet connection, that means the base has an address but isn't able to contact the Arlo servers. You can try restarting the router but if you've made security changes in the router configuration you need to ensure that ports 80, 443 and 123 are open to arlo.netgear.com.  If your router is owned by your ISP, you'll need to have them change the configuration for you.
