If it is blinking slowly, then that signifies that the battery is low (which you already knew...)

If you have more than one camera, try swapping the batteries, and see if the problem moves with the battery [or not].

If you have more than one camera model, I'd first confirm you are using the right charger (per the second article), and then use the procedure in the first article.
