It seems this has been an issue in the past, based on other threads. I'm starting this one becuase it seems like the newest one (marked solved) is from 2016.
I have the 4 camera system. The talk back feature is not working at all.
I have the latest firmware installed on the Arlo and iOS 11.2.1.
When trying to access audio, after going "live," I press the small mic icon. I then get the "connecting" message, and the green mic button appears. When the button is pressed it turns purple and audio from where the camera is viewing goes quiet. Whatever is said through my iphone does not come through the camera. When the mic button is released, audio from what's being viewed returns.
I've tried while on wifi and LTE.
If this is not resolved I am going to need to return these cameras--as this major feature is completly inop.

This tends to be due to the app not having permission to access the mic in iOS. Check the permissions. If you can't, uninstall the app, restart your phone, install the app from the app store and ensure the access to the mic is enabled

-Deleted the Arlo App
-Restarted my phone
-Re-installed the Arlo App
-Ensured the permissions were set so that the Mic can be accessed by the Arlo App
Tried to access the talk back feature on both wifi and on LTE and was not able to get it to work on any of my four Arlo Pro cameras.
Please advise.

For testing, try both a computer browser as well as a different mobile device.

First, the volume FROM the cameras is non-existent. It's like 5 Db. Second, the time delay to have ANY dialog ends up being 5-15 seconds.
Lastly, if you record there is NO audio of YOUR dialog-only from the camera..
This appears to be "JUST" the way things are.
