Arlo Pro - outdoor electic cable

The outdoor (waterproof) power cord has been saying "coming soon" for a long time. Any time frame available? Does this also mean that I can turn off the power to the camera using a switch i.e. if power cord is used and I turn off the power, is the camera off or does it still have the rechargeable battery in it? Would be nice to have an easy on/off so I can turn off when we are at the house and turn on when we leave.

Assuming the outdoor charger delivers the same output as the existing charger, then yes. You can operate the Arlo Pro without the battery installed when connected to the wall charger.
