Arlo Pro not writing to USB 16 gig thumb drive

Arlo is new.  I set up the thumb drive per instructions and it shows in settings.  

I am not using Arlo's motion detection, just monitoring. 

When I hit the record button, it begins to record and 

creates a movie viewable within the Arlo App.  However,

when I safely eject the thumb drive and put it in the computer,

the Arlo folder is on it, but no video.  It should be writing to the

cloud and thumb drive simultaneously, right?  Any suggestions?

I do know that the thumb drive RECORDS MOTION ACTIVATED VIDEOS.... not 100% sure on the manual started ones do as this over-rides the ARMED command. IIRR, the motion triggers recording to the cloud and the drive ast same time.

Easy test... Arm the cameras and see if those recordings go to the thumb drive...if they do the usb drive is working

Videos will be written on your thumbdrive by Motion only not when you're in live mode + pressing record..
