Hi

I have purchased Arlo Pro for our business after easy set up and successful use at home.  However, our IT dept have advised us "Installation of the Netgear Arlo Pro home cameras are rarely plug and play, normally require quite a bit of configuration to get set-up in a usable state".  We have servers set up and they monitor these.  I just asked where the router was so I could plug it in.  Is this statement true?

It's likely that your network will be locked down via a firewall. The IT guys will have to ensure that ports 80, 123, 443 are open for the Arlo Pro base station, which will be connected via ethernet cable to the network
