I have two cameras that I've tried to add/sync to my account. After going through the sync process 3 times, the only device shown is my base station

I put the battery in the camera, push the sync button on the back of the base station and lights begin blinking. I then push the sync button on the camera, the blue light blinks then blinks super fast then goes out.

Have no idea what I'm doing wrong and why the cameras are not on my dashboard or devices folder.

Clue me in, please, before this stuff goes in the recycle bin.

Thank you

Went to Dashboard, only the base shown there, in Devices nothing.

Maybe you mixed this up? The base shouldn't show in the Dashboard (only cameras can be added there) but would in Devices.

The blinking you state (assuming it was rapid blue and not rapid amber) normally indicates that the camera was synced. However, there seems to be a spate of VMB4000 issues for some reason with symptoms like yours as well as not even being able to claim the base in the first place. This seems like a likely cause of what you experience.

@JamesC , @ShayneS , @BrookeN can you provide any information that would solve this issue or give notice that it's being worked on?

Obvious there is no help from the community.

Support is a waste. 8 hour wait time to chat.

ARLO crap going into recycle.

We don't monitor the forums 24/7. We're users like you.

You haven't given us all details. Was this working before with the same cameras? What base do you have? Look on the bottom for a label with VMBxxxx. Have you reset the base by holding the button for >10 seconds until the LED(s) flash amber? Did you remove all devices from your account when resetting? If you haven't reset, it may be you may need to reset now. See the FAQ below.

Thank you jguerdat for your response. I have a Netgear VMB4000 base and 4 VMC 4030 cameras.

Here's some background. I've had this system for about 10 years - base and 4 cameras. Worked find until ARLO decided to do an "update". When I opted into that update, everything went South. Exasperated, I took the cameras down and got ready to recycle everything but left base connected.

Two days ago I got curious and reinstalled the ARLO app to my desktop. Wow. One camera working 24/7 (even though I'd previously set-up the system to activate @ 7 PM. and shut down @ 6 A.M (fyi never worked that way after the update). Thought I'd install a 2nd camera. Didn't work so, stupidly, I removed the working camera.

Once I removed that working camera, could not add a device not matter what I did. I reset the base and tried to sync, no good, then restarted the base, no help.  I then removed the base and reinstalled it two times. Went through the firmware check, all good.

When I went to sync the cameras, I pushed the sync button the the bottom of the base and the yellow light under the phone slot started blinking. I then pushed the sync button on the phone and the blue light started blinking then after about 4-5 seconds flashed rapidly for about 4-5 seconds then went out. Went to Dashboard, only the base shown there, in Devices nothing.

Still cannot sync any cameras whether I do it via my desktop or phone app. Went through the process of checking the WiFi on the phone app and it said 2.4GHz network not detected and Could not connect to ARLO services. I have a hard-wired internet/WiFi system with Spectrum with speed of 467.98on download and 11.44 upload and just started using a new HP AIO, so no idea on the 2.4HGz bit or the not able to connect to ARLO.

Tried to do a chat with support 2 times - yesterday a 926 minute delay, today 256 minute delay.

At this point, I don't know what to do.

Any help you offer I appreciate very much
