Hi
Looking to upgrade to an Arlo Pro soon (when released in Australia).
I have some bad quality recordings at the moment purely because I have a slow ADSL Internet upload (about 1Mbps).
If I get an Arlo Pro system, will it record better quality to the local USB device than what it uploads to the cloud ?
Thanks
Mark.

That's a great question and I have no answer. 1Mbs is the design minimum for upload speed but if your connection drops below that for any reason, quality suffers since the system will drop down to lower resolution. I suspect that what gets transmitted to the servers is what will be recorded locally but I don't know for sure.
