Hello, I've thus far avoided putting cloud connected cameras inside of my home because the idea that the manufacturer's employees (in this case Netgear's) or someone that hacks the service or my account can login and live view my home doesn't sit well, obviously. That said, I really like the premise of Arlo Pro. My question is - since live streaming seems to be done via the cloud, what technical security measures (besides the say-so of Netgear) are in place to prevent live viewing of the camera feed by staff or external unauthorized parties (I.e. Hackers)? I realize that recording can be done locally...this is more around the live video.

Appreciate any feedback.

The video stream is encrpted with a key ....

It would be easier to hack the  password for your account than the video.  As always, with any online accounts , use a strong password

Problem solved

As a PS... there is a privacy mode to turn off cameras and make them not accesable if needed or placed in like childs room , etc
