I have 4 cameras and I installed the Arlo base station connected to my router. Two of my campers are connecting directly to the Arlo base station. The other two cameras are at the other end of the house and are showing up as offline. Can these two cameras connect to my (secured) home WiFi network in order to connect to the Arlo basestation? I have an Access Point close to the two cameras but the cameras are not connecting to my network. If a connection is not possible, do I need to get a second base station?

No. The base station creates it's own (closed) wifi network, and the cameras connect directly to that.
If the cameras are out of range, the only options are to move the base station or purchase a second one.
