Hello All,

Recently my Arlo Pro Cameras began to take extremely long to charge, and never quite charge all the way. I had one on the original supplied charger over night (indoors) and it only charged to 49%. I have now tried it on 3 of 5 Arlo Pro's I have, and all 3 have done essentially the same thing. My troubleshooting mind says it's the charger, but I cannot use another USB Charger to test as the App said I needed to use an Arlo designated charger when I tried an Apple iPad charger. Opinions?

Thanks,

Steve

The App menu either has a "Library" screen, or instead has "Feed" and "Dashboard" screens.

Back to your original issue - if this is affecting all your cameras, then likely it is the charger or perhaps the cable.  The app will warn if its sees an out-of-spec voltage, but it has no way to tell if the charger is Arlo-branded or not.

You can try a third-party charger.

Alternatively, you can get a charging station (where you remove the batteries, and put them in the charging station for charging).

There are some cheaper third-party charging stations, but experience from users here has been mixed.

Arlo no longer carries the indoor charger for these cameras, but they do still have an outdoor adapter you can get.

The arlo pro/2 cameras use a 7.2vdc battery so requires the QC Qualcomm charger to charge using the 9vdc option.

The camera should still run on the Apple 5vdc adapter, just not fully charge.

Just be aware that you also need the arlo supplied charger cable to utilise the QC option.

The generic QC chargers should also work if you want to try a replacement.

I am still using the original charger and cable.

What app type is being used, mobile or web browser on pc?

What arlo app UI is installed, one that has a library page or feed page?

It is possible for the camera to lockout the charging circuit if the battery is dead.

I am using both the app and web browser. I am uncertain about the app itself (library or feed?) A fourth cam won't charge at all now.
