Arlo Pro Camera will only be online if I am 4 feet within Base. Goes offline over that.

My wireless camera will only stay online if I am within about 4 feet of the base.  I have charged it overnight so the battery should be solid.  I would like to put it outside but the second I step out the door it goes offline even though the base is right on the inside of the door.

It's possible that there's a hardware problem but firt, what's your house construction, inside and out?

I am not really sure how to answer.  Its a regular stick built house.  I have the base is next to the wall, I open the door next to the base, step outside and the camera goes offline.  I figured I would take it upstairs and put it out on the second story porch (base is downstairs DIRECTLY below it) and as soon as I start up the stairs the camera goes offline.  The stairs are about 10 feet from the base.

Do you have only one camera? If more, try swapping cameras around to see what happens. If only one, try repositioning the base. Also, try moving someplace else rather than out the front to see if the same thing happens. There could be a few things happening here:

1) Hardware problem with either the base or camera

2) 2.4GHz interference from some wireless device near the base

3) Something in the wall near the base blocking the signal (ductwork, etc.)
