My system has 4 cameras (VMC4030). When I changed the battery on one , it did not restart. I received following message: "This device is inactive. A paid Arlo smart subscription is required to activate the device".
I removed the camera from the account and tried to reinstall but keep getting the same message.
All other cameras work fine

Do you have more than 5 cameras on the account? If you do, this is why you're seeing the error. If you have more than 5 cameras, you will need a subscription plan.

i have the same issue. Had the cameras for years, and now... My wife who shares the account, she can access 2 of our 5 cameras???? Anyone get the solution codes from customer support ?
