Can the traditional lithium battery be used in the Arlo Pro in the event the rechargeable batteries do not last as long?  I use these cameras at a vacation home and my lithium batteries last around 6 months with moderate use whereas it's sounding like the rechargeables included are closer to 60 days.  This could be problematic for me.

No. The Pro batteries are in a proprietary format that regular li-ion batteries don't conform to.
