Arlo Pro battery charging power cable hard to disconnect from the battery!!

I have problems pulling the charging cable out (or disconnect) from the battery after I finish charging it every time. is it a defect or suposed to be hard?

I tried hard to pull it by the head instead of the cable, because I didn't want to desctroy the plastic wire by pulling on it too hard. But it doesn't matter where i was trying to pull from, I just can't get it out of the battery. I had to get my husband (if he is home) to use a plier to pull the head out  Am I the only one who has this problem? I am thinking about returning this Arlo pro product.

It is not normal...they are only finger tight.   Can you try another cable to see if it is the cable or the usb port on the camera ??

You may have to contact Arlo Support for a possible warranty issue

Hi Apple10,

Are you using the original charging cable that came with your Arlo Camera?

So it is easy for you to connect and disconnect the charging cable without making any effort? I don’t have another cable. What I have is the only one that came with the package. Thanks

Yes. It’s the original cable.

How to contact arlo tech support without being charged? I think mine is over 90 days. Besides I can’t find any way to contact them directly. What’s their email or phone numbers? I think the only way I can do is to return the whole product back to Costco if Arlo makes it so difficult for consumers.

Apple10,

When connected correctly, the charging cable should be relatively snug but not difficult to remove or connect. When you insert the charging cable into the camera, does it charge your battery? If so, this indicates a proper connection and means there is no hardware issue. Is this an outdoor camera? The connection may be tighter if there is debris or other material inside the charging port area. Be sure the port is clean and attempt to connect and reconnect your charging cable again.

If you're still experiencing an issue, you can contact the Arlo Support Team via the following link and investigate the issue further: Arlo Support Team
