Hi,
I am having trouble finding if anyone else having this issue. Bought Arlo over the weekend (still testing it out). This is regarding the Arlo App and not sure if things are working in the background.
So sometimes when I check the app, it ask me to relog (through fingerprint or whatever it would be). I am not sure what causes this in the first place (could be due to sharing the access with another person) but what happens is that I need to relog then my base/cameras are showing "offline", then after refreshing, everythings back online (which refreshes within a minute so far).
Now, I am not sure if this is just an app issue or my base/cameras are actually offline until I relogin to the app, and the whole reason for me needing to relog is due to some issue with the base. I am not sure if cameras are actually working and this relog/"appears offline" thing is just a little bug in the app. I dont know if things are working since its little difficult to test if notification/camera recording is working since I do not know how to replicate this.
Does anyone have an experience with this? Or has any knowledge regarding this matter? I tried searching high and low and haven't found any info just yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I experience the same inconvenience of having to log in (with password or fingerprint) each time I open the app and even before I gave access to someone to view my cams. This must be some security feature Arlo has implemented but it sucks that we don't get to chose if want that or not. As far as cameras being offline, I don't think the app has anything to do with it as the cameras don't depend on the app to work but I would try testing it while at home one day (go to another room and walk into a room that has an arlo cam with motion enabled ofcourse and see if you get the notifications). The refresh taking so long doesn't suprise me because my "live view and sound" is not so live becaue it has about a 30 second delay from when things actually happen (tested this while at work on the phone with people at home) and this is with 2 different cameras in 2 different rooms, one of which is not even 10 feet away from my router and arlo base and my internet is 50/50mbs.

jujojoh,
If you wish to stay logged in to the app without having to authenticate, consider disabling Touch ID within your Arlo mobile app: How do I use iPhone fingerprint authentication to automatically log in to my Arlo app? When you are finished using the app, simply minimize it, do not log out or force close.

thanks. The log-off issue has been discussed per JamesC.
The offline issue is really hard to replicate. I would need to walk around, get notification and open my app to see if I am "offline". I will continue to monitor this...
