Arlo Outdoor Power Adapter (VMA4700) Weatherproof Issue when used with Arlo Pro or Arlo Pro 2 Camera

Dear Arlo customer,

We have become aware that the Arlo Outdoor Power Adapter/Cable (model VMA4700) may allow water into the charging port if used for continuous outdoor use. When this happens, the camera may stop charging, cease to work, or overheat.  

We urge you to immediately stop using the VMA4700 Outdoor Power Adapter/Cable for continuous outdoor use in order to avoid potential property damage, injury, or damage to your camera. Please note that this issue is limited to situations where water can enter the USB charging port. You can continue to use the power adapter for indoor charging use where the adapter is not exposed to water. The Arlo, Arlo Pro, and Arlo Go cameras are certified weather-resistant and can continue to be used outdoors with the factory-supplied rechargeable battery.
