Wondering if there is a way to use the camera via a corded power supply instead of the rechargeable battery?

Yes. Just plug it in with one of the approved power adapters. Leave the battery in so the camera will work with a power outage (be sure to have a UPS on your modem, router and base to keep the Internet connection working, too).
