Any way to recover footage from camera that wasn't in Base Station due to power outage?

We had a major accident in front of our house that would have been captured by our Arlo Pro camera. The accident immediately knocked out our electricity and internet as a result. I was hoping that once power was restored, the camera would upload all the footage captured during the power outage. But there's nothing there. A USB in the base station doesn't do anything if there's no electricity.

Does an Arlo Pro camera store footage on its own? Is it possible to recover any footage from the camera that wasn't transferred to the base station?

Thanks!

Unfortunately it does not.

Though it is too late for this incident, you might consider connecting the base station to a UPS.  Then it would still be powered by the UPS even if the main power fails.

While that's an excellent idea, the lack of internet would be the next problem. Depending on your base model, you could use local recordings to capture what wasn't sent to the cloud. This will require at least a VMB4000 base. And, of course, you would still need that UPS. I'd suggest having it power the modem, router and base.

I interpreted his first post as saying he was already doing that.

I do that, and one benefit is that I don't lose my home wifi when the power fails (unless the outage is very long).
