After changing the battery the app says time to charge battery

After changing the battery the app says time to charge battery. It has not worked for a week. This happened to a different camera and battery a month ago & after about a week it finally recognized it had been changed & updated the battery power & worked fine! What's up with the app???

Sometimes restarting the base clears this indication.
