Hello all,
I’m looking for a way to use the schedule and geofencing modes for Arlo Pro 4 camera system.
I have 2 exterior cameras and 2 interior cameras..
My goal is to accomplish the following:
Use geofencing full time.
Away mode= ALL cameras armed
Home mode= schedule time 10:00p-6:30a for ONLY the 2 exterior cameras to be armed at night while the 2 interior cameras remain inactive.
I don’t need the interior cameras recording and constantly sending me notifications of motion detected on x or y camera.
My research and understanding is that the schedule mode is for the base station which in turn activates ALL cameras.
Again, I only want the exterior cameras to be active while in the schedule mode.
I have tried to create a new “mode” but it only allows for motion or sound triggers no scheduling options.
Is there a way to accomplish this?
Thanks

Almost right... schedule will operate ANY mode you have...
You need to create a custom mode to split all 4 cams to just the outside ones and then use that OUTSIDE mode in the schedule.
TIPS;
any cam NOT in the active mode is off
Create the custom mode with the first camera and save, go back and edit to add the second camera
if you go thru midnght in schedule, it needs to be split; 10 pm to 1159, next day Midnight to 6am
So create the new mode for OUTSIDE cams and then use it in the schedule
Look at the FAQs too

Thanks TomMac!
Sounds like I need to do the following:
1) Create a new mode named “x” and add only the 2 exterior cameras.
2) Set up a schedule 10:00-11:59p AND 12:00-6:30a
3) Choose the new “x” mode for the schedule.
4) Select the following in geofencing:
In zone= new “x” mode
Out of zone= “armed”
Am I missing anything?

yes
you create the new mode
then bring it into the schedule for times needed ( + add ) ( pick new mode ) ( set times )
( swap 2 and 3 )
Home mode will still be schedule... ( you can only have one at a time )
