Hi Arlo Community

I have a 3 camera set of Arlo Pro's - I know they are in EOL stage, so hopefully someone can assist with a work around.

1 camera recently stopped recording motion. - It does however run a manual live recording.

Steps I have taken:

1. Factory reset on base station

2. Reset cameras and resynced

3. Held down the sync button for 20 seconds

Any other nifty ideas? Or am I now stuck with a dud?

Thanks

Try the motion detection test on that camera, and see if it responds.

If you use a camera skin, you might also try removing it.

It could still have some utility, even if the PIR sensor has failed.  If another camera covers the same area, you can cross-trigger, so both record (from different perspectives) when motion is detected.

So the motion detection test doesn't work 😞

Is there a way to hard reset / factor reset the camera?

How can I link the camera with another to cross trigger? I don't recall seeing that as an option with arlo pro's

I don't know of one (and Arlo hasn't published a procedure).

It's done in the mode.  You can test it with a custom mode if you like (assuming you have the "Library" interface).  Create a rule for the camera that is triggering, and then add a second device to that rule when you get to the recording step.  (You can of course also add the 2nd camera by editing an existing rule).
