Hello,

I am using an Arlo system with three cameras. In the current version of the Arlo app, under "Automations," I only see options to create schedules (based on specific times of the day). However, I would like to create a permanent rule that works in real-time, not on a schedule.

Specifically, I would like to set up the following automation:

  • If the garage camera detects motion (or any intrusion),
  • Then all cameras in the system should activate their sirens simultaneously, not only the one that detected the intrusion.

At the moment, I cannot find any way to configure this kind of rule-based automation in the app. Could you please confirm if this feature exists, and if not, whether it is planned to be added in the future? When I try to set this up, the “Add device rules” option is greyed out and I cannot select it.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Note I don't work for Arlo.

This wouldn't be an automation in their framework.  Instead it would be a camera rule inside the modes.  "Activate Siren" is an option in those rules now, but "Activate All Sirens" is not.

Arlo generally won't commit to future features here (custom modes being a rare exception).
