Currently have a ticket opened for this problem but wanted to see if others are having similar problems.

Two Pro5 S cameras

In both device settings I have audio turned off

In Arm Away I have rules set up for both to only record motion detection.

Audio is turned off for both in device rules

When Arm Away is active, both cameras record for bogus audios.  No sounds when viewing feeds.

Cameras continue to loop and record 50+ recordings for audio detection even though device settings and device rules have audio off.

I have a base unit VMB4500r2 that supports my three old Arlo 2s.
I have one Essential (3rd Gen), one Essential Pan Tilt and two Pro 5S all connected via network and not base station.

These cameras work fine in Arm Home and Standby.  No false audio recordings.

Had no problems before.  Just started happening in the last month.

Sounds like a corruption problem and may require a painful reload of app from scratch and rebuilding my system.

Anyone else experiencing similar problems?

Forgot to mention.  Running IOS 26.1. Network Nest Mesh.

Try deleting and recreating the rule(s) for the camera to see if that helps. Camera settings don't affect audio detection, just disabling Audio Detection in the rules.

Understand and yes I tried multiple times to delete and recreate the rules.  No luck.

Even on the app which seems to have more utility for you? You may need to remove/reset/reinstall the camera to restore proper operation.

Previously the 5S cameras were connected via my base.  New firmware allowed me to connect via my network.  I completely removed both cameras from the app.  Reset them and reinstalled them via the network.  All worked fine for about 5 weeks. Then they went haywire.

I will try it again to see if it helps.

What baffles me is this only happens in the Away mode.  Cameras work fine in Arm Home and Standby.

I suppose it may be an iOS app thing. Try recreating/modifying rules only in the web client to see if that makes a difference after reinstalling.

I’ve tried to use the web client via my.arlo.com but it no longer has access to view cameras or modify settings.  Is there a new link for this?

Also go into the smart detection settings, and make sure the detections aresound turned off.

Doing a hardware reset of the cameras might also resolve it.

No, but you need to use a PC for this now - a mobile browser won't work.  Arlo (IMO mistakenly) assumes that everyone on a phone or tablet will use the app.

Yes, I had smart detections for audio turned off.

😂 Amazing.  Just got in on my Mac.  Thanks.

Just removed the rules and recreated them on my Mac.  Same problem.
