Hardware - H4

Firmware - 1.040.275_55_b4f

App version - 4.7 (6581)

Under the devices tab all my cameras show a red ! on the screen. Open the device settings and battery shows at least 80%; all are connected to VMB-4540 base. Under messages is displayed "Activity zones are currently disabled. AC power has been disconnected from this device. Please reconnect the power source to the device."

This message makes no sense to me, all the cameras are on battery showing 80% or better. However what I don't have is an Arlo subscription. By removing the activity zones designations from each device resolved the issue. The message in this case is clearly erroneous giving you an indication of a power problem. Which I wasted a lot of time on. Arlo needs to update their message indications to reflect the actual situation. In this case get yourself a subscription. It would increase peoples perception of Arlo software reliability.

As noted in the following link, you need to have either AC power connected to the camera (so the camera can apply the zones) or a subscription (so the servers can do the application).

Good information but the Pro 5 apparently is not a supported camera as indicated by the list in the link. I will run a test and connect one of my cameras to continuous AC power.

An oversight on Arlo's part.

The Pro 5s model is in the links at the top, but it is missing from the text.  So are the Pro and the Gen 3 camera.  (The "legacy" list is incomplete).
