Hi there,

I have 5 Pro 3 at home but one of them is too far from the base and disconnecting all the time. What is my best option here, simply buy another base to extend the signal? Or better to replace this camera with a more modern one which can connect to the wifi? Issue is that I would lose the local storage without the base right?

Since the hub is basically a stripped down router, the same solution applies to either approach. It's easier and cheaper (once a new camera is purchased) to extend WiFi as opposed to buying a second hub. A second hub has to use an Ethernet cable to connect so you're likely extending your WiFi in the first place to allow this. For me, that seems to lead to extending your WiFi as needed and using a newer cameras to connect to that.

YMMV.
