One of my Arlo 5S is peaking just below the roof awning.  I like it there because it's protected from direct sunlight, rain, etc.  However, the view could be better if the mount was longer.

1.  Arlo does not make one.  So I'm thinking of making a custom one.  Anyone know the screw thread size?  I can try and test it, but don't want to damage the threads in the camera.  Because of the weight of the camera, I want screw it tight and not fall off.

2.  I tried searching ebay.  And seems like the aftermarket ones are rather "standard" size.   The standard ones (that came with the 5S) are like 3" and I think the old ones (Pro) are like 4.72."  I don't seem to find anything longer than that.  Have you come across any camera mounts that are longer than 4.72?  I'm thinking maybe 6".

If not, my last option would be to add a 1" wood spacer on my current camera mount.
