Hi,

Years back, I purchased Arlo Pro 2 with 2x cameras kit and the base station VMS4130P
I'm interested in replacing my Arlo Pro 2 cameras with Arlo Pro 5S 2K cameras.
Are Arlo Pro 5S 2K cameras compatible with base station VMS4130P?
Can I mix Arlo Pro 2 cameras and Arlo Pro 5S 2K cameras together connected to base station VMS4130P?

Thank you,
Best regards,
Bruno

So, I'm thinking if I buy new cameras (like Arlo Pro5S 2K), I still will be notified and will get access to the past 7- days recordings.
Am I right?

The 7-day free storage is limited to your Pro 2 cameras.  The Pro 5s cameras will not have the 7-day storage.

Also, the free storage has always been limited to accounts with 5 or fewer unsubscribed cameras.  So if you have three Pro 2 cameras now, and add another 3 Pro 5s cameras to the same account (with no subscription), you will lose the Pro 2 storage.

VMS4130P is a system bundle, not a base station.  I think the base is a VMB4000.  Double-check that by looking for a VMBxxxx label on the base.

Yes.  You can connect the Pro 5s directly to your home wifi.  It is also compatible with the VMB4000 base.

But you will need a subscription for the Pro 5s in order to get recordings.  Your Pro 2 cameras came with 7-day free cloud storage.  The Pro 5s cameras (like all currently sold cameras) do not have that.

Thank you @StephenB

I will check the label on the base.
If I want to keep 7-day free cloud storage for new cameras, which model should I look into?

Thank you,
Best regards,
Bruno

None of the currently sold Arlo cameras have 7-day free cloud storage.   Arlo stopped offering it on new camera models back in 2018.

With my current system, every time the cameras detect a move, I'm notified and I can access the recordings over the past 7 days.
So, I'm thinking if I buy new cameras (like Arlo Pro5S 2K), I still will be notified and will get access to the past 7- days recordings.
Am I right?
Thanks
