Just updated my app and I’m pretty upset that my $1,000 security system doesn’t work like it is supposed to anymore. How does it make sense to have 3 modes (really 2 because standby doesn’t count). Here the thing, sometimes I entertain in my backyard and I used to have a backyard mode which kept my front cameras on but turned off the backyard cameras. I had a sleep mode which had all exterior cameras on but no interior cameras. I had a living room mode which had all exterior and bedroom cameras on but not my living room or hallway. I had a Stoop mode which had all backyard cameras on but not the ones on my stoop. The Devs meed

to tighten up pretty quick. The way the current system is setup, my cameras are going off constantly and that doesn’t do what I pay for it to do. My cameras are crying wolf which makes me either ignore them or turn them off. Neither is what I have been suscribed for since I first bought my Arlo 2 Pros a half of decade ago. Super loyal customer here, get it together Arlo, fix it.

I am feeling they initially found their idea of "as simple as just 3 modes" brilliant --- however they were not thinkers as detailed as Steve Jobs.  Now they are anchoring themselves to their hardware product the control pad, which comes with just 3 (brilliant!) physical buttons for these 3 modes.

Come on ARLO!  More modes is just software things.  You can still stick to that control pad and say it helps customers with "the 3 most important modes".  For the remaining modes, leave it to the enhanced app screen.

BTW, you can use Standby as you wish. The name makes no difference.

That doesn’t solve the issue but I acknowledge your attempt to do so.
