Battery life using smart hub

I decided to run my cameras through the smart hub to extend battery life and add my cameras to my Apple home system. For some reason my batteries start to drain over a 48hours period. I disconnected from the hub and they are fine again.

any suggestions? Help you be appreciated. Thanks

Likely the issue is the quality of the wifi connection from the smarthub -> cameras.  If the connections drop, the cameras need to re-discover the hub wifi, and that process can use quite a bit of power.

There are several possibilities.  One is that the wifi signal from the smarthub isn't strong enough to cover the camera locations.  You can look at that using a wifi analyzer on your phone.  (If you use an iphone, the Apple Airport app is the only free one I know of that will give you the signal strength).  

Another is that the smarthub is too close to the router, resulting in wifi interference.  Generally we recommend putting the hub as far away from the router as Arlo's ethernet cable will reach.
