I have 3 Arlo Pro 5S cameras indoors that are controlled via SmartThings. The indoor cameras are off when someone is home, but noticed over the past few weeks the I have seen the 1 infrared lights on the top of the camera are on when it is dark inside. I checked both the Arlo app and SmartThings with both apps showing the cameras are off. Should the infrared lights be on when the camera is off? I don’t think that should be case, but not sure if others are seeing this issue. BTW, I did try to reset on of the cameras, but didn’t fix it.

Are they on constantly or just when motion is detected?

The 2 red lights on the top of the camera face only come on when the room is dark. But they are coming on when the camera is "off" in both Arlo & SmartThings. I am assuming those are the infrared lights. Previously, I did not notice they turned on when the camera was off.

BTW, the lights are constantly on when dark...regardless of motion.

Try removing from SmartThings to see what happens.

Already tried unlinking Arlo from my SmartThings account and got the same behavior. I also performed a factory reset with one of them & it did not fix the behavior.

The IR LEDs should only be on when motion (or audio, if you have that enabled) is detected and only when ambient light is low (nighttime). SInce they are to simply provide illumination for recording instead of using the spotlight, they should otherwise be off. I suppose you can check the settings for the camera to see if the Night Vision as well as Light Settings are both appropriate.
If you think the camera is faulty, use the app to go to Settings, Support to see what official support may offer.
