I'm using an iMac desktop computer and an iPhone 8 to match with the cameras.  My router is a Synology RT2600ac.

First I'll ask why the model number of my Arlo cameras is not shown in the list I had to choose from to post this?  I couldn't post without choosing one so I picked one, but it is not the cameras I bought this week from Amazon.  Mine are model # VMC4250P, unless I'm not reading the correct number.

This form is confusing in still one more way where it says to "Select Location" but there are no locations in the pulldown, only various camera model names.
And I don't know what is supposed to go in the top box.  So I don't know if anyone will ever see this.

I purchased a two pack of the Arlo Pro 4 cams and following the instructions at the app to the letter, the first camera read the CR and rang it's chime.

The second camera however, did not read the code with repeated tries following the steps carefully under various lighting conditions.   The light on cam 2 flashes as if it's trying but after a dozen attempts with no chime on camera 2  I'm here asking for advise.

Also, one more issue:
The instructs told me to turn off "Auto Join" on WiFi settings on my iPhone.  That appears to be causing a new problem as my iPhone is constantly disconnecting from WiFi and I go in and manually start it again, then a few minutes later the iPhone is off line again.

The instructions only mention Auto Join the one time telling me to turn it off.  Am I supposed to keep it turned off?

Those are my two current problems.  I have one full day to resolve the problems before leaving on deployment and I'm hoping to have the cams up and running prior to my departure in 34 hours.

Any help will be much appreciated.

For your second camera, try the reset procedure. Hold the Sync button on the bottom of the camera for >15 seconds until the LED flashes amber. Let the camera reboot and try again.

No Apple products here so can't help on those questions.
