What is the difference between hub stations VBM4540 and VBM5000? They both give direct access, but what makes one better than the other and more expensive?

  1. Local storage with the VMB4540 is with USB, with the VMB5000 supports microUSB.
  2. The VMB5000 radio is dual-band (2.4 ghz and 5 ghz), the VMB4540 is only 2.4 ghz.

What about the Smart Hub performance, is there any difference? I would think the 5gHz would only apply if good line of sight, otherwise it would use 2.4gHz anyway. And obviously the firmware is different to handle the different local storage. Is that where it stops though? i.e. if your cam is otherside of building (with walls in between) and you don't need the other storage types, is there still an advantage with the VMB5000? Other than it is later and should be in support longer.

Not that I've noticed.
